On 13th January 2026 “The Guardian” reported that “High-profile studies reporting the presence of microplastics throughout the human body have been thrown into doubt by scientists who say the discoveries are probably the result of contamination and false positives. “ “There is no doubt that plastic pollution of the natural world is ubiquitous, and present in the food and drink we consume and the air we breathe, but the health damage potentially caused by microplastics and the chemicals they contain is unclear”
Whether microplastics are a danger to human health or not, there is a simple way to reduce them. Microplastics are caused by the fragmentation of ordinary plastic when exposed to weathering, but it can and must be upgraded by making it with d2w technology.
Then if plastic products get into the open environment they will not create microplastics and lie or float around for decades. Instead they will automatically convert into biodegradable materials (without the need to take them to a composting facility) and will leave no toxic residues behind.
